For today’s prompt, write a breaking poem.
A Planet-Shaped Vase
On a no school snow day
playing ball in the house
I broke a fancy vase
Instead of attempting repair
with cartoon cow glue
I found my father’s hammer
Smashed the shards
enjoying the crack crack crack
and ceramic dust in my nose
Just like humanity
I knew I shouldn’t
and I knew the fix
But chose the thrill
over my grandchildren’s
survival

That’s so damning and so damn good. Well said, Bart. You are shining in my eyes.
