Fraiku: Campus

Listen the protestors,
unkempt, thin and idealistic,
they are usually right.

  3. No, not always right! Some don’t even know what they’re protesting! Some are paid to scream, yell, and jump up and down.

    • Note, I wrote “usually” not “always”. Most know what they’re protesting and few are paid. (Get any sufficiently large crowd and you’ll find the inarticulate and sometimes a few infiltrators who really are getting paid.) The vast majority are reacting to injustice just like during the civil rights protests of the 1960’s and the anti-war protests since Vietnam. While I was too young for those movements, I’m proud of all the protests I’ve attended in my life and feel vindicated by history for each.
