Fraiku: Nyx

This week’s Fraiku was published earlier today at Heretics, Lovers & Madmen in response to their Dark Mother prompt. I titled it Nyx after the Greek Goddess of the Night.

I’ll be starting my 13th April Poem-a-day Challenge on Monday. Wish me luck.

    It’s m’birthday on the 21st April – I’ll be 69 – surely there’s a haiku in there somewhere? Possibly a rude one!

Have I ever mentioned that a whole sub-tribe of my family live in County Limerick?     Specifically, my sister and her husband brought up their family in Croom.   I quote from ‘Google’…

Limerick gives its name to “The limerick” a popular five line humorous poem, thought to be derived from the 18th century, Maigue Poets of Croom, Co. Limerick.” There’s a sign in the village telling the tale. So a Limerick would be very fitting!

      • I knew you were Irish but knowing that you have family in Limerick clinches it.
