Arise ye dawns of spring
like daffodils to the clouds
and eggs from the pan
(This haiku was inspired by a poem I wrote this week with my pals at Charles House when one of the participants made the brilliant connection between daffodils and sunny-side-up eggs. A belated Happy Vernal Equinox to my fellow Northern Hemispherians.)

Too bad. What time of year do the Saguaro flower?

Yes, but that just makes seeing daffodils elsewhere that much sweeter. π₯° Typically the saguaro cacti begin to pop in May, but that can vary a bit. I will start looking for them next month. Daffodils are cheerful and delightful, but the gorgeous saguaro flower has its own charm, sometimes hard to capture due to the height of cactus. π΅ Thanks Bart!

What I remember most from my one visit to your desert was the Saguaro. If I lived there, I bet I’d only write about them.

They are quite unique and therefore, memorable. Thank you so much for sharing this with me, Bart. I will hold your interest in my mind when I begin scouting for that blossom and featuring it in a post or two. πππ»
