When I Die on Bulb Culture Collective

I’m pleased to announced that one of my old poems, When I Die, has been republished at Bulb Culture Collective. My thanks to L. M. and Jared for accepting this reprint.

I’m pretty sure I wrote When I Die in 2012. I know for sure it was first published at the dearly departed Post Card Poems and Prose in 2015. Bulb Culture Collective specializes poems previously published by journals that have since gone dark or where the work is no longer available online. Once they reopen for submissions, I encourage all my poetry friends will send them their long forgotten poems.

Bartholomew Barker is an organizer of Living Poetry, a collection of poets in the Triangle region of North Carolina where he has hosted a monthly feedback workshop for more than decade. His first poetry collection, Wednesday Night Regular, written in and about strip clubs, was published in 2013. His second, Milkshakes and Chilidogs, a chapbook of food inspired poetry was served in 2017. He was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2021. Born and raised in Ohio, studied in Chicago, he worked in Connecticut for nearly twenty years before moving to Hillsborough where he lives and writes poetry.

    I went back to read the poem again. This time the bio caught my eye. There’s a typo on the first sentence… oh no there is not. Very clever and funny! Write more like that. I need the laughs
