Fraiku: Frustration

Outside my window
a cedar waxwing riot
black cat stuck inside


(I’d never noticed a cedar waxwing before but there were a dozen or more going crazy over whatever they found in the gutters above my apartment. Moriarty’s tail was thwapping!)

Bartholomew Barker is an organizer of Living Poetry, a collection of poets in the Triangle region of North Carolina where he has hosted a monthly feedback workshop for more than decade.     I would’ve been slightly terrified. I don’t do well around birds.

    They’re lovely to observe and look at, but I avoid them at all costs. Lol.
