I saw a dart board made with old corks in a road side bar somewhere. I thought that was a piece of art.

Nice haiku. Corks are immensely popular with crafters, as already mentioned. If you want to get rid of them, I could help with that. …. :)

I used to know someone who was, allegedly, collecting wine bottle corks to make a bath mat. They sat in a box – last I heard – still sitting in the box.

We use them as cane toppers in the garden.

One of our neighbours is a bin-man who told us that you can tell the drinkers by the content of their bins – he said that with a knowing look.

  7. Hello, Bartholomew, I am posting a review of your poetry book, “Milkshakes and Chilidogs,” tomorrow, November 22, 2022, on my blog. A thoroughly delightful book! I loved it. I collect old cork stoppers, too.

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t have a stash of something that most would throw away. My weakness in boxes…one never knows when a particular box will be just what one needs. Oh, and twist-ties also.
