The Great Conjunction Haiku

Summer triangle
points to the great conjunction
at winter’s solstice

For the next couple of weeks, Jupiter and Saturn will be drawing ever closer in the sunset sky. I strongly encourage everyone to go take a look but they’re very low in the west so don’t wait too long after the sun’s down.

Sorry for the Northern Hemisphere-centric haiku. I just noticed that the Summer Triangle of Vega, Deneb and Altair were pointing right at the two giant planets like an arrowhead and the poetry was too fine to pass by.

On an unrelated note, I’ve always thought that wanting to know more about a poet because you enjoy their poems is like wanting to meet a duck because you love foie gras. None the less, my friends at The Dark Sire, who published one of my Halloween poems last year, just posted an interview of me.
