Fraiku: Sleeping In

After a long travel day
and a dark night of rain
in my own bed

(Back home, safe and sound, after my trip to Scotland.)

    Hi, Bart,
Did you go to Scotland, all the way from the US? That’s a long journey. Did you go for a particular reason, like seeing family or friends, or just for the fun of it (apart from the rain)?

Forgive me my absence from your blog. I have been ill and in hospital. It’s good to be home again (like you – nothing like sleeping in your own bed). X

    • It was a long journey but well worth it. I love spending my holidays in Scotland.

Your absence is easy to forgive since I took no offense. Sorry you’ve been ill. Glad you’re back home and on the mend.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your holiday despite the long trip, Bart. I live in England and have never had the opportunity to travel to Scotland, Wales or Ireland, either, let alone anywhere farther afield.

Thank you your kind words and your forgiveness for my absence. Unfortunately, hospital stays are likely to be regular until I get my surgery; there is a 14-month waiting list to see the surgeon, although my doctor has requested my appointment to be expedited. I will have to wait and see. Take care ~ Ellie X
