Valentine’s Mashup

How do I love her? Let me count the ways.
She is like a red, red rose,
walking in beauty, like the night.
Her love is more thicker than forget
more thinner than recall.

And all that’s best of dark and bright,
that’s newly sprung in June,
I love to the depth and breadth and height
’til all the seas go dry
and rocks melt with the sun.

Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
it is most mad and moonly.
While the sands of life shall run,
I shall but love her better after death.

(Happy Valentine’s Day, readers! This is a mashup of four of my favorite love poems, Sonnets from the Portuguese 43, She Walks in Beauty, A Red, Red Rose and love is more thicker than forget.)

    Absolutely beautiful, Bartholomew 🌹
I completely forgot it was Valentine’s Day until late in the afternoon, so I didn’t get an appropriate poem composed to post. Maybe next year.

Nice mashup! I don’t know the forget and recall one, but your poem kept ringing bells in an interesting way.
