Er…I’m not a Scot – I live in Scotland, but am of Irish descent – which is amounts to much the same thing when it comes to rain. I remember my uncle looking out the window at the rain and saying….. ‘It’s a fine, soft day, thanks be to God’. It made the grass grow – fattened his cows up – those were the days.
