The Albino who Surrendered to the Blizzard

I’m combining two prompts again today.

For today’s prompt, take the phrase “The (blank) Who (blank),” replace the blanks with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem.

-and-

For today’s prompt let’s write a colorful poem.

The Albino who Surrendered to the Blizzard

Why did she abandon shelter,
get lost in gusts of snow,
wearing her wedding dress
like Miss Havisham
and every bit as mad?

No one saw her, pale skin
waving a rag, carrying lilies,
her favorite flower.

She tread upon the treacherous ice
as if walking on egg shells then slipped.
Her bone surprised to escape skin.
Even her blood was translucent.

Maybe it was an innocent little lie
told by the voices in her head.
