World Without Consequences at Edge of Humanity Magazine

I am again honored to have a poem featured at Edge of Humanity Magazine. It’s called World Without Consequences and while I wrote it years ago, it’s just as relevant today.

Bartholomew Barker is one of the organizers of Living Poetry, a collection of poets and poetry lovers in the Triangle region of North Carolina. Born and raised in Ohio, studied in Chicago, he worked in Connecticut for nearly twenty years before moving to Hillsborough where he makes money as a computer programmer to fund his poetry habit.

    I’ve just read it – hitting many nails on heads. My lord yes – and it’s been like that for as long as there have been people and privelege.

    I’m going to recommend another Ben Elton book – ‘Stark’ . The blurb says….

    “Stark has more money than God and the social conscience of a dog on a croquet lawn. What’s more, they know the earth is dying.”

    You’ll see why your poem put me in mind of this.

    Trouble is – your poem encapsulates the Government of Britain today. We are in the power of those spoilt rich kids you write of.

    Please send this to TON! Please. It should be as widely read as possible – open some eyes maybe.

    Gives new meaning to the silver tongued devil image.
