And on the first full day of winter here in the northern hemisphere, my poem Winter Begins has been posted to Whispers and Echoes!
We’re all in trouble if the Sun
keeps sinking earlier and rising later
No thaw in the Earth— no planting in spring
no harvest in autumn just a night with no dawn
Snow piles higher— rivers freeze to their beds
and the atmosphere shivers solid
Leaving our icicles around the final embers
of the fire we lit tonight to entice the prodigal sun
Back to the sky

Great poem. So tell me… do these folks have you on staff? :)

If I was on staff, I wouldn’t be able to select my own poems for posting. It’s just good to find a place that likes my peculiar style.
