In the beginning

Dahlia Vee

poem inspired by Dahlia Vee

She started wearing purple
but the goddess dropped her gown
then her dramatic bustier
spun from the stage
and the glitter launched
from between her breasts
got caught in the spotlight.

Each sparkle a star
looped by living planets
in our spiral arm
from which a satin glove
is withdrawn luxuriant
by teeth framed
with crimson lipstick.
