The journey of four thousand miles begins with a roadtrip

RainbowThis morning I departed for a month long vacation to Brazil and World Cup 2014. I am taking a roadtrip to Miami and from there I will fly to Salvador da Bahia. During my stay I hope to attend six matches and watch the rest from various bars, restaurants and boates. Expect more or less daily updates on my adventures with the occasional poem thrown in when a muse strikes.

The drive was uneventful but as I pulled into my hotel’s parking lot to the sound of tropical thunder, I noticed a rainbow segment in the distance. Being someone who sees patterns even when they aren’t there, I took it as an auspicious sign.

My next post will be from south of the equator!

Aren’t you the one who warns against looking for patterns that aren’t there? The Art oft seeing what is really there.
