There is hope yet
Despite corporations
Spending untold money
On other corporations
To manipulate the masses
Which the Supreme Court
Rationalized as speech
Despite the minority
Withdrawing rights
From the majority
Despite the hyper-rich
Withdrawing money
From the country
Despite all this
There is hope yet
The centre cannot hold
When it goes hungry
And the 1% of the 1%
Have let so few crumbs fall
The rough beast is awakening
After eight decades
Of stony sleep
