Apologies on the lack of recent posts. There are some new poems percolating which could reveal some of what’s been keeping me busy.
This Saturday afternoon, I’ll be reading at Cloer Family Vineyards outside Apex, North Carolina during their first Toasts and Tunes concert of 2014. I’ll be doing poetry on demand and will have some copies of Wednesday Night Regular available for sale so come on out. Looks like it’ll be a beautiful day.
Since it’s at a vineyard, I’ll probably read the poem below.
Wine Tasting
Sampling dry and sweet
Full bodied and thin
Wondering which would
Complement my life best
Dry goes with humor
Sweet with silence
Full bodied with pleasure
Thin with excitement
Myriad options in this local vineyard
But I don’t want to choose
Because my heart only has room
For one
